You’ve no doubt heard, or are familiar with, the expression, “tap the Rockies” for the crappity crap beer Coors Light. Well, this idea has that in mind, but for the ultimate frisbee crowd:

Enter the usable title: “Mac The Rockies.” It is either the name of a beer, a slogan, or a subtitle (you know, that thing AFTER the colon). Take it, it’s yours. Just make something of it.

PS: In case you are not enlightened as to the terminology: MAC stands for Midair Attitude Correction, a maneuver in which a frisbee player changes the direction or speed of a throw without catching it. The basic MAC is to brush the side of the disc as it goes past you, so that your hand is moving with the spin. If you hit the disc a little bit forward of the middle, then the disc will now be moving away from you with roughly the same amount of speed and spin. Be careful about which way the spin is going. If you hit the wrong side of the disc, it will just drop straight to the ground.

Last night, with the help of epicurious, I made some pretty tasty calzones. They are huge. Enter the new social networking site for foodies: LocalLeftovrs (just playing on a theme). Here, one can sign in, register for a square mile radius and “order” other people’s leftovers.

Pros: this would be really quite cool if it worked. It would be especially good for smaller families and single people who cook too much.

Cons: health, insurance, liability, etc. Also, not everyone is as talented a cook as the next person. Perhaps a rating system like ebay for your past dishes.
