Mentored 8th-grade students interested in submitting their writing to the annual National Campaign to Stop Violence. Four students were semi-finalists, one student won. He and I traveled to Washington D.C. as Ambassadors.

Cofounded with my cohort of teacher candidates and the family liaison, I pick up food on a weekly basis from the Food Bank of the Rockies to be distributed to families in need.

Directed students in their proposal for the Chipotle Green Your School education grant, which provides $20,000 to the winning school for a project of their choice. Currently in the top five finalists.

Developed “Lunch with the Humanities” to enhance the learning of eight ninth-graders cross-curricular with Social Studies.
